  • How many women will be in the group? The Comfort Club is a mighty group, no matter the size!

  • What if I change my mind? You have options. If you change your mind before our first meeting starts, you can get a full refund, of course. Otherwise, it’s non-refundable. If you miss a Sunday, you’ll have access to recorded sessions as part of your membership. However, if you need to step away for a more extended period, but still want to be a Comfort Club member, I’ll welcome you in another group later.

  • I want to spread the news! How often will you offer the Comfort Club? I anticipate at least once or twice a year.

  • What book will we use? No books are required. We’re going to draw from several sources, including Jennifer Louden’s, The Woman’s Comfort Book: A Self Nurturing Guide for Restoring Balance in Your Life (2004), and Julia Cameron’s Vein of Gold: A Journey to Your Creative Heart (1996). Over the years, I’ve gotten a lot of, well, comfort from their suggestions. What will make our Comfort Club so magical is that we’ll build a community around our creative self-care. Cool!

  • Do I have to try each idea? Nope. You can do as much or as little as your spirit will permit. You get to choose. Still, the more you try, the greater the value to you. Why not be open? Have fun!

  • What will we do in a half-hour? Great question! We’ll start with a short centering welcome, then focus on the week's topic, no more than two per session. We’ll have a chance to check-in with each other the following Sunday about our success. If a topic resonates deeply and you want to explore further, I'll be available for a few minutes at the end of each session.

  • I can see that the Comfort Club will be helpful. Can it replace my therapy? No. The Comfort Club is a workshop designed to a) help you identify strategies to help you sustain or improve upon your self-care; and b) guide you, in community with others, in exploring strategies to support your creative wellness, as you define it. The Comfort Club is neither therapy (medical), advice (mentoring), nor counseling (social work).

  •  What if I’m under medical supervision or in counseling or therapy? Before becoming an active participant, why not consult with your health care team about any potential risks, and secure their permission to participate? If there is any change in your health after entering the Club that would impact your participation in any way, let me (Deborah) know immediately.

  • Will you send us reminders about our weekly meetings? Absolutely.

  • Will we be able to connect to Zoom by phone? Yep.

  • What if we have technical difficulties? Well, we know that stuff happens. If the tech gets wacky, no worries. Just phone in. If things get really weird and we need to stop, we’ll have a couple of predetermined Sundays for make-up

  • Will you share resources in case I want to find out more about self-care? Yes, certainly. Our private Members Only site is where we share resources, progress, and discoveries.
